RAW, a great place.

RAW Restaurant
(318) 255-8320
114 West Park Ave.
Ruston, LA 71270

Don't worry. Not all of the food is raw.

RAW is an amazing little restaurant that gives our little city a touch of class. The Sushi and various oriental dishes are exquisite. The décor of RAW has big city appeal. The service was excellent the night we tried it. To eat there once a week would be fun, but there is one problem: the big prices do not match my little pocketbook.

Interurban in Oklahoma Is OK

Interurban Restaurants

The following is a quote from Interuban’s website:

Interurban is a casual and fun concept featuring a wide variety of menu items catering to families, busy business professionals, young high school and college singles, and baby boomers of all ages. http://www.interurban.us/our-story

Interurban Restaurants are scattered throughout Oklahoma – Edmond, Yukon, Oklahoma City, Norman, Tusla, and Ardmore. We tried the one in Yukon. The food was tasty, but I was surprised at the high prices. For lunch we spent more than $20 per person.

Ronin used to be more exciting

Ronin Steak & Sushi House

Ruston

I like all the bells and whistles when I go to the American version of a Japanese restaurant. As time passes, Ronin Steak & Sushi House seems to place less emphasis on all those fun things that entertain me to make the dining experience delightful. Somehow the food does not seem as exciting as it used to be when the restaurant first opened. I don’t know whether my reaction is to the change in the atmosphere or to food not quite as tasty.

A Restaurant That Has Been Great

Furr's Fresh Buffet
2221 S Soncy Rd, Amarillo, TX 79124
(806) 355-8236

Amarillians have a habit of going to Furr’s. As a newbie, I concluded that Furr’s must have set a high standard at one time because of the way the Amarillo natives talked about it. I found it a good average place to eat with an enjoyable salad bar, a pleasant wait staff, and a place where we could be served fast but not coerced to leave. It’s okay but not spectacular. Perhaps Furr's isn't what it once was. Or maybe my taste has changed because I like to eat spicy foods influenced by different cultures now that such places have become plentiful.
